1959
- W.E. Lott Company is formed by W.E. Lott Sr. to provide castings, forgings and
other metal products to Midwest manufacturers
1965 to 1982 - W.E. Lott is the
largest seller of castings for Farrell Cheek Steel Foundry, the largest steel
producer in the Midwest.
1971 - Jack Olt, son-in-law, joins W.E. Lott
Company. The company is family-owned and operated.
1988 - W.E. Lott Company takes
on management of Mountain State Steel Casting Co. in Parkersberg, West VA.
1992 - W.E. Lott becomes the
sales team for Unitcast Steel Foundry in Toledo, Ohio.
1994 - W.E. Lott partners with
Unitcast and begins importing castings from India and Canada for large railcar
builds
1995 - W.E. Lott begins
importing castings from China
1996 - Robert Lott becomes
President, W.E. Lott Sr. stays on as consultant
1998 - W.E. Lott opens its own
office in China, hiring engineers and support staff to increase quality control.
Present Day - W.E. Lott Company
now has offices and sales people throughout the United States, Canada and
China. The company purchases all types of casting, forgings and other
products from several countries and sells these goods around the world. The
third generation, Richard Olt, is now Sr. Vice President and the company
continues to grow and prosper.
